Hi Sam reading this on the plane and enjoying it tremendously. I haven't made friends with the stewardess yet though. Hail Cthulu Hail Dagon Hail Yog-Sothoth
This is great. An eye turning read. I especially like the emphasis on the grotesque shape of the architecture and the unique language of the protagonist.
I wanted to try a Lovecraftian story without using his style of prose (I couldn't write in his ornate style without a deeper dive into his fiction). I'm glad those parts stuck out. Thanks for reading!
Terrifyingly and beautifully told!

My sources tell me the Old Ones rarely take interest in our tiresome mortal affairs, but it never hurts to throw out a few 'Hail Cthulu's for safety!
I care not whether they heed me, I hail them because it is their due as the true powers of the cosmos.
All hail Cthulu, the great sleeping god.

It was a treat to read, no need to thank me for that. Thank you for sharing
I couldn’t put this down! The slow build from airplane turbulence to Cthulhu was so smooth and chilling. I really loved this.
Great work Sam. I couldn't look away.
Nicely done! I especially like the POV's characters distinctive dialect and personality,
I read it to myself in the voice Pete Martell from Twin Peaks, trying to get that part down. Thanks for reading Bill!
